Every Friday I pass by this area, drive slowly up to the gentle road, take a very very sharp left turn, and apparently this appear to be the most catchy view to my eyes. My first thought: it is such a potential area, i have to do “something”.
Through my observation:
1. First, we can see the green bushes grew wildly dominating along the klang river, with the aid and supplement from the river water, the green grows so well along that area.
2. Secondly it is noticeable that the highrises surrounding casted huge shadows covering most of the river surface area, it is such a good place to chill from day to night.
3. Third, it’s windy! It must be the cross ventilation doing all the work.
Sooo… i would suggest to revitalise the river! I name it GC002.
The main design intention is to bring the community back to the river by transforming it into a vibrant waterfront, rejuvenating the city’s river and re-connecting it to the surrounding urban fabric.
Generally, I would think of having three types of design typology : nature type, lake type and urban type to cater for different users to create different experience.
Well, imagine you have your “ME” time during office break hour to chill at this area, get a leisure walk along the stream, it definitely calms your mind and soul!
Special thanks to Cheonggyecheon. See! It has set a very good example and it has become a centre for cultural and economic activities. A famous landmark in the city.
So, Malaysia should have one too!
